This visualization throws light on the cases registered under cyber crime in the year 2013. In India, total 5693 cases had been registered under cyber crime in the year 2013.
The fifteen Indian states in terms of the maximum number of cyber crimes registered in the year 2013 wherein number of crimes was more than 100, these states were: Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab, Assam, Delhi, Bihar, Orissa and Chhattisgarh.
Maharashtra was on the top with 907 cases registered, thus Maharashtra accounted for 15.9% of the total cases registered under cyber crime in India during year 2013. Maharashtra was followed by Uttar Pradesh with 682 cases registered, thus Uttar Pradesh accounted for 12% of the total cases registered under cyber crime in India during year 2013.
In Andhra Pradesh, 651 cases had been registered which was 11.4% of All India. In Karnataka, 533 cases had been registered which was 9.4% of All India. In Kerala, 383 cases had been registered which was 6.7% of All India. In Madhya Pradesh, 342 cases had been registered which was 6% of All India. In West Bengal, 342 cases had been registered which was 6% of All India. In Haryana, 323 cases had been registered which was 5.7% of All India. In Rajasthan, 297 cases had been registered which was 5.2% of All India. In Punjab, 156 cases had been registered which was 2.7% of All India. In Assam, 154 cases had been registered which was 2.7% of All India. In Delhi, 150 cases had been registered which was 2.6% of All India. In Bihar, 139 cases had been registered which was 2.4% of All India. In Orissa, 104 cases had been registered which was 1.8% of All India. In Chhattisgarh, 101 cases had been registered which was 1.8% of All India
The states/UTs, wherein no cyber crime in the year 2013 was registered, were as follows: Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Lakshadweep.
