Capital Expenditure of Government from 2017-18 to 2019-20 (Interim)

Actual Capital Expenditure of Government was Rs. 873826 crores for the year 2017-18; Out of which Rs. 263140 crores (30.11%) was for ‘Gross Budgetary Support’, Rs. 58568 crores (6.7%) was for ‘Ministry of Railways (IEBR)’ and Rs. 552118 crores (63.18%) was for ‘IEBR (excluding Ministry of Railways)’.

Revised Estimated Capital Expenditure of Government was Rs. 961019 crores for the year 2018-19, up by 9.98% above 2017-18’s Actual Capital Expenditure. Out of the total Revised Estimated Capital Expenditure of Rs. 961019 crores; Rs. 316624 crores (32.95%) was for ‘Gross Budgetary Support’, Rs. 85798 crores (8.93%) was for ‘Ministry of Railways (IEBR)’ and Rs. 558597 crores (58.13%) was for ‘IEBR (excluding Ministry of Railways)’.

Budget Estimated Capital Expenditure of Government was Rs. 953732 crores for the year 2019-20 (Interim), down by -0.76% above 2018-19’s Revised Estimated Capital Expenditure. Out of the total Budget Estimated Capital Expenditure of Rs. 953732 crores; Rs. 336292 crores (35.26%) was for ‘Gross Budgetary Support’, Rs. 94071 crores (9.86%) was for ‘Ministry of Railways (IEBR)’ and Rs. 523369 crores (54.88%) was for ‘IEBR (excluding Ministry of Railways)’.
