Deen Dayal Upadhyaya – Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) is a placement linked skill development program for wage employment under Ministry of Rural Development.
The number of candidates trained under DDU-GKY was 86,120 in India in 2014-15. It has surged by 213.97% to 270,392 during 2015-16 over 2014-15. We have observed annual de-growth of -19.1% in candidates trained under DDU-GKY during 2017-18 from 162,586 during 2016-17. The number of candidates trained under DDU-GKY was 228,955 in India during 2018-19, up by 74.07% against 131,527 during 2017-18. During 2019-20 (As on 31st May 2019), 27,919 candidates were trained under DDU-GKY in India.
The maximum of 270,392 candidates were trained in 2015-16 under DDU-GKY in India during the period under consideration.
