Broadband Subscribers per 10,000 Persons in India from 2015-16 to 2019-20

India has witnessed an increasing trend in broadband subscribers per 10,000 persons from 2015-16 to 2019-20. However, compound annual growth rate of 43.5% has been observed in broadband subscribers per 10,000 persons in India during the period under consideration.

The number of broadband subscribers per 10,000 persons was 1,179 in India in 2015-16. It has surged by 82.53% to 2,152 broadband subscribers during 2016-17 above 2015-16. We have seen annual growth of 35.04% in broadband subscribers per 10,000 persons in India during 2018-19 from 3,176 subscribers during 2017-18. The number of broadband subscribers per 10,000 persons in India was 5,000 during 2019-20, up by 16.58% versus 4,289 during 2018-19.

The maximum annual growth of 82.53% has been found in 2016-17 in broadband subscribers per 10,000 persons in India during the period under consideration.
