Bauxite Production and its Value in India from 2015-16 to 2017-18

Production of Bauxite was 28123789 tonne in India during 2015-16. It has decreased by -12.01% during 2016-17 over 2015-16. In value term it was Rs. 15437694 thousand during 2015-16. We have observed annual de-growth of -9.83% in Bauxite Production in India to 22312681 tonne during 2017-18 versus 24745487 tonne during 2016-17. Its value was Rs. 14865504 thousand and Rs. 15020673 thousand during 2016-17 & 2017-18 respectively.

There were 9 states in India where Bauxite was produced during 2015-16 to 2017-18, the name of those states were Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha and Tamil Nadu. Production of Bauxite was 2558453, 4378, 3101577, 2590720, 0, 581391, 2028422, 11447740 and 0 tonne in Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha and Tamil Nadu respectively during 2017-18. Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha and Tamil Nadu accounted for 11.47%, 0.02%, 13.9%, 11.61%, 0%, 2.61%, 9.09%, 51.31% and 0% respectively of the total Bauxite produced in India during 2017-18.

Production of Bauxite in Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha and Tamil Nadu was 1954234, 0, 5881257, 2289825, 386, 676478, 1946032, 11990006 and 7269 tonne respectively during 2016-17. Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha and Tamil Nadu accounted for 7.9%, 0%, 23.77%, 9.25%, 0%, 2.73%, 7.86%, 48.45% and 0.03% respectively of the total Bauxite produced in India during 2016-17. Bauxite Production was 1991455, 163950, 10387092, 2111227, 12050, 684288, 1907543, 10839038 and 27146 tonne in Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha and Tamil Nadu respectively during 2015-16. Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha and Tamil Nadu accounted for 7.08%, 0.58%, 36.93%, 7.51%, 0.04%, 2.43%, 6.78%, 38.54% and 0.1% respectively of the total Bauxite produced in India during 2015-16.
