Average Yield of Wool from Ram and Wether Sheep during 2014-15

The average wool yield per year from ram and wether sheep in India as a whole was 1.39 Kg. during 2014-15.

There were 8 states which had higher average wool yield per year from ram and wether sheep as compared to national average viz. Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Gujarat and Karnataka during 2014-15.

The average yield per year from ram and wether sheep in Jammu & Kashmir was 5.16 Kg. during 2014-15. It was 3.77 Kg. higher than the average wool yield per year from ram and wether sheep in India as a whole. In percentage terms, average yield per year from ram and wether sheep was higher by 271.22% as compared to All India yield during 2014-15.

The average yield per year from ram and wether sheep in Haryana was 2.51 Kg. during 2014-15. It was 1.12 Kg. higher than the average wool yield per year from ram and wether sheep in India as a whole. In percentage terms, average yield per year from ram and wether sheep was higher by 80.58% as compared to All India yield during 2014-15.

The average yield per year from ram and wether sheep in Himachal Pradesh was 2.32 Kg. during 2014-15. It was 0.93 Kg. higher than the average wool yield per year from ram and wether sheep in India as a whole. In percentage terms, average yield per year from ram and wether sheep was higher by 66.91% as compared to All India yield during 2014-15.

The average yield per year from ram and wether sheep in West Bengal was 1.83 Kg. during 2014-15. It was 0.44 Kg. higher than the average wool yield per year from ram and wether sheep in India as a whole. In percentage terms, average yield per year from ram and wether sheep was higher by 31.65% as compared to All India yield during 2014-15.

The average yield per year from ram and wether sheep in Uttarakhand was 1.76 Kg. during 2014-15. It was 0.37 Kg. higher than the average wool yield per year from ram and wether sheep in India as a whole. In percentage terms, average yield per year from ram and wether sheep was higher by 26.62% as compared to All India yield during 2014-15.

The average yield per year from ram and wether sheep in Punjab was 1.73 Kg. during 2014-15 (0.34 Kg. higher than the All India average yield). The average yield per year from ram and wether sheep in Gujarat was 1.67 Kg. during 2014-15 (0.28 Kg. higher than the All India average yield). The average yield per year from ram and wether sheep in Karnataka was 1.5 Kg. during 2014-15 (0.11 Kg. higher than the All India average yield).
