Average Yield of Wool from Ewes during 2014-15

The average yield of wool per year from ewes in India as a whole was 0.76 Kg. during 2014-15. There were 9 states having more than 1 Kg average yield per year from ewes viz.  Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, West Bengal, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh during 2014-15.

The average yield of wool per year from ewes in Jammu & Kashmir was 4.64 Kg. during 2014-15. It was 3.88 Kg. higher than the average yield in India as a whole. In percentage terms, average yield of wool per year from ewes was higher by 510.53% as compared to All India yield during 2014-15.

The average yield of wool per year from ewes in Haryana was 2.06 Kg. during 2014-15. It was 1.3 Kg. higher than the average yield in India as a whole. In percentage terms, average yield of wool per year from ewes was higher by 171.05% as compared to All India yield during 2014-15. The average yield of wool per year from ewes in Uttarakhand was 1.66 Kg. during 2014-15. It was 0.9 Kg. higher than the average yield in India as a whole. In percentage terms, average yield of wool per year from ewes was higher by 118.42% as compared to All India yield during 2014-15.

The average yield of wool per year from ewes in Himachal Pradesh was 1.65 Kg. during 2014-15. It was 0.89 Kg. higher than the average yield in India as a whole. In percentage terms, average yield of wool per year from ewes was higher by 117.11% as compared to All India yield during 2014-15. The average yield of wool per year from ewes in Punjab was 1.54 Kg. during 2014-15. It was 0.78 Kg. higher than the average yield in India as a whole. In percentage terms, average yield of wool per year from ewes was higher by 102.63% as compared to All India yield during 2014-15.

The average yield of wool per year from ewes in West Bengal was 1.53 Kg. during 2014-15 (0.77 Kg. higher than the All India average yield). The average yield of wool per year from ewes in Gujarat was 1.35 Kg. during 2014-15 (0.59 Kg. higher than the All India average yield). The average yield of wool per year from ewes in Madhya Pradesh was 1.15 Kg. during 2014-15 (0.39 Kg. higher than the All India average yield). The average yield of wool per year from ewes in Uttar Pradesh was 1.05 Kg. during 2014-15 (0.29 Kg. higher than the All India average yield).
