Average Rural Area Covered by a Primary Health Centre as on 31.03.2016

The average rural area covered by a Primary Health Centre (PHC) in India was 122.33 square kilometres as on 31.03.2016. The best 10 States/UTs in terms of the average rural area covered by a PHC were: Chandigarh, Lakshadweep, Puducherry, Daman and Diu, Kerala, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Bihar, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Assam as on 31.03.2016.

The average rural area covered by a PHC in Chandigarh was 1.49 square kilometres as on 31.03.2016. The average rural area covered by a PHC in Chandigarh was lower by 120.84 square kilometres as compared to average rural area covered by a PHC at All India level.

The average rural area covered by a PHC in Lakshadweep was 2.01 square kilometres as on 31.03.2016. The average rural area covered by a PHC in Lakshadweep was lower by 120.32 square kilometres as compared to average rural area covered by a PHC at All India level. The average rural area covered by a PHC in Puducherry was 13.98 square kilometres as on 31.03.2016. The average rural area covered by a PHC in Puducherry was lower by 108.35 square kilometres as compared to average rural area covered by a PHC at All India level.

The average rural area covered by a PHC in Daman and Diu was 14.1 square kilometres as on 31.03.2016. The average rural area covered by a PHC in Daman and Diu was lower by 108.23 square kilometres as compared to average rural area covered by a PHC at All India level. The average rural area covered by a PHC in Kerala was 37.93 square kilometres as on 31.03.2016. The average rural area covered by a PHC in Kerala was lower by 84.4 square kilometres as compared to average rural area covered by a PHC at All India level.

The average rural area covered by a PHC in Dadra and Nagar Haveli was 40.48 square kilometres as on 31.03.2016. The average rural area covered by a PHC in Dadra and Nagar Haveli was lower by 81.85 square kilometres as compared to average rural area covered by a PHC at All India level. The average rural area covered by a PHC in Bihar was 50.96 square kilometres as on 31.03.2016. The average rural area covered by a PHC in Bihar was lower by 71.37 square kilometres as compared to average rural area covered by a PHC at All India level. The average rural area covered by a PHC in Delhi was 65.29 square kilometres as on 31.03.2016. The average rural area covered by a PHC in Uttar Pradesh was 66.73 square kilometres as on 31.03.2016. The average rural area covered by a PHC in Uttar Pradesh was lower by 55.6 square kilometres as compared to average rural area covered by a PHC at All India level.
The average rural area covered by a PHC in Assam was 76.11 square kilometres as on 31.03.2016. The average rural area covered by a PHC in Assam was lower by 46.22 square kilometres as compared to average rural area covered by a PHC at All India level.
