Average Production of Major Crops in Madhya Pradesh from 2009-2010 to 2012-2013

Average growth in production of Rice from year 2009-10 to 2012-13 was 34.6%. Its yield has increased from 896 kg/hec to 1825 kg/hec from year 2009-10 to 2012-13. Average growth in production of Wheat was 14.1% as its yield increased from 2071 kg/hec to 2948 kg/hec from year 2009-10 to 2012-13. Average growth in production of Jwar was 18.6% as its production was 1293 kg/hec in 2009-10 and reached to 2015 kg/hec in year 2012-13.

Maize average growth in production was 40.7% which is considered to be the highest average production among all the mentioned crop from year 2009-10 to 2012-13 as its production reached to 2786 kg/hec in year 2012-13 from 1254 kg/hec in year 2009-10. Gram average growth in production was 4.7% from year 2009-10 to 2010-13 due to drip in production during year 2010-11. Its production in year 2009-10 was 1070 kg/hec and reached to only 1221 kg/hec in 2012-13. Similarly Towar has shown 3.8% decrease in average growth in production due to major drip in year 2010-11. Its production was 780 kg/hec in year 2009-10 and reduced to 692 kg/hec in years 2012-13. Cotton has shown 19.3% of average growth in production and its yield increased to 1062 kg/hec in 2012-13 from 672 kg/hec in 2009-10. Similarly, the Sugarcane average growth in production was 8.7% and its yield reached to 5114 kg/hec from 4055 kg/hec during the mentioned period. Soyabean has 5.1% average growth in production and its production was 1180 kg/hec in year 2009-10 and reached to 1362 kg/hec in 2012-13.
