Average Output per Ship Berth-day of Major Ports in India from 2004-05 to 2019-20

The average output per ship berth-day is one of the major efficiency parameter to determine operational efficiency of port. The average output of a ship at a berth per day is measured in tonnes of cargo.

During 2004-05, the average output per ship berth-day was 3770, 8395, 11049, 12242, 38871, 9630, 5280, 8506, 15569, 17084, 12782, 5993 and 8434 tonnes in Kolkata D.S, Haldia D.C, Paradip, Visakhapatnam, Ennore, Chennai, Tuticorin, Cochin, New Mangalore, Mormugao, J.L. Nehru, Mumbai and Kandla port respectively. The average output per ship berth-day was 7174, 15192, 32001, 20032, 26581, 20340, 19334, 31258, 19140, 19944, 28296, 25608 and 21109 tonnes in Kolkata D.S, Haldia D.C, Paradip, Visakhapatnam, Ennore, Chennai, Tuticorin, Cochin, New Mangalore, Mormugao, J.L. Nehru, Mumbai and Kandla port respectively during 2019-20.
