Average Monthly Wholesale Price of Maize (Kharif Crop) from October-2017 to November-2018

The prices of agricultural product including pulses and oilseeds are determined by supply and demand conditions in the market on a day-to-day basis. Apart from demand and supply conditions, availability of stocks and international prices are also affecting prices of agricultural product.

The average monthly wholesale price of Maize was Rs. 1474 per quintal in October, 2017. It has decreased by -0.75% to Rs. 1463 per quintal during November-2017 above October-2017. We have seen monthly growth of 1.17% in average monthly wholesale price of Maize from Rs. 1449 per quintal during Feb-2018 to Rs. 1466 per quintal during March-2018. The average monthly wholesale price of Maize was Rs. 1591 per quintal during November-2018, up by 5.02% from Rs. 1515 per quintal during October-2018.

Maximum monthly growth of 5.02% has been observed in average wholesale price of Maize in November-2018 during the period under consideration. Maximum monthly average wholesale price of Maize of Rs. 1591 per quintal has been found in November-2018 during October-2017 to November-2018.
