Average Monthly Wholesale Price of Arhar (Kharif Crop) from October-2017 to November-2018

The prices of agricultural product including pulses and oilseeds are determined by supply and demand conditions in the market on a day-to-day basis. Apart from demand and supply conditions, availability of stocks and international prices are also affecting prices of agricultural product.

The average monthly wholesale price of Arhar was Rs. 4283 per quintal in October-2017. It has decreased by -40 basis points to Rs. 4266 per quintal during November-2017 above October-2017. We have observed monthly de-growth of -17 basis points in average monthly wholesale price of Arhar from Rs. 4095 per quintal during Aug-2018 to Rs. 4088 per quintal during Sep-2018. The average monthly wholesale price of Arhar was Rs. 4485 per quintal during November-2018, up by 10.01% against Rs. 4077 per quintal during October-2018.

Maximum monthly average wholesale price of Arhar of Rs. 4485 per quintal has been observed in Nov-2018 during the period under consideration. Minimum monthly average wholesale price of Arhar of Rs. 4077 per quintal has been found in Oct-2018 during the period under consideration.
