The average milk yield per day from indigenous/ non-descript cows in India as a whole was 2.54 Kg. during 2014-15. The top 10 States/UTs in terms of the average milk yield per day from indigenous/ non-descript cows were: Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Delhi, Rajasthan, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, Chandigarh and Lakshadweep during 2014-15.

The average milk yield per day from indigenous/ non-descript cows in Punjab was 6.82 Kg. during 2014-15. It was 4.28 Kg. higher than the average milk yield per day from indigenous/ non-descript cows in India as a whole. In percentage terms, average milk yield per day from indigenous/ non-descript cows was higher by 168.5% as compared to All India yield during 2014-15.

The average milk yield per day from indigenous/ non-descript cows in Haryana was 5.38 Kg. during 2014-15. It was 2.84 Kg. higher than the average milk yield per day from indigenous/ non-descript cows in India as a whole. In percentage terms, average milk yield per day from indigenous/ non-descript cows was higher by 111.81% as compared to All India yield during 2014-15. The average milk yield per day from indigenous/ non-descript cows in Gujarat was 4.19 Kg. during 2014-15. It was 1.65 Kg. higher than the average milk yield per day from indigenous/ non-descript cows in India as a whole. In percentage terms, average milk yield per day from indigenous/ non-descript cows was higher by 64.96% as compared to All India yield during 2014-15.

It was 1.42 Kg. higher than the average milk yield per day from indigenous/ non-descript cows in India as a whole. In percentage terms, average milk yield per day from indigenous/ non-descript cows was higher by 55.91% as compared to All India yield during 2014-15. The average milk yield per day from indigenous/ non-descript cows in Rajasthan was 3.77 Kg. during 2014-15. It was 1.23 Kg. higher than the average milk yield per day from indigenous/ non-descript cows in India as a whole.
