The top 5 districts of Tamil Nadu in terms of maximum number of Sub Centres as on 31-03-2017 were Villupuram, Vellore, Tiruvannamalai, Salem and Tirunelveli with 557, 454, 410, 398 and 379 Sub Centres respectively. As on 31st March 2017, Chennai district was the only district in Tamil Nadu with 0 (zero) Sub Centres. The top 5 districts of Tamil Nadu in terms of maximum number of PHCs as on 31-03-2017 were Chennai, Vellore, Villupuram, Tirunelveli and Salem with 138, 97, 86, 84 and 83 PHCs respectively.
The top 5 districts of Tamil Nadu in terms of maximum number of CHCs as on 31-03-2017 were Villupuram, Vellore, Salem, Tirunelveli and Tiruvannamalai with 22, 20, 20, 19 and 18 CHCs respectively. As on 31st March 2017, Chennai district was the only district in Tamil Nadu with 0 (zero) Community Health Centres. The top 5 districts of Tamil Nadu in terms of maximum number of Sub Divisional Hospitals as on 31-03-2017 were Tirunelveli, Sivaganga, Thanjavur, Pudukottai and Coimbatore with 16, 16, 13, 13 and 13 Sub Divisional Hospitals respectively. Out of the total 31 District Hospitals in Tamil Nadu as on 31st March 2017; all the districts had one District Hospital each, excluding Chennai district with 0 (zero) District Hospitals.
