Annual Rainfall in Kerala Subdivision from 1901 to 2017

Annual rainfall of 3248.6 mms was there in Kerala subdivision during 1901. It has increased by 2.4% to 3326.6 mms in 1902 over 1901. We have seen annual decline of -14.02% in annual rainfall in Kerala subdivision to 2705.5 mms during 1951 against 3146.6 mms during 1950.

Annual growth of 21.49% has been observed in annual rainfall in Kerala subdivision from 2412.6 mms during 2000 to 2931.1 mms during 2001. Annual rainfall in Kerala subdivision was 2664.9 mms during 2017, up by 42.44% against 1870.9 mms during 2016.

In Kerala subdivision; maximum annual rainfall of 4257.8 mms and minimum annual rainfall of 1870.9 mms has been seen in 1961 and 2016 respectively during the period under consideration. During the last 10 years from 2008 to 2017, we have found maximum annual rainfall of 3255.4 mms in 2013 in Kerala subdivision.

In Kerala subdivision; maximum monthly rainfall of 595.7 mms observed in June-2016 during the year 2016 and 579.8 mms seen in June-2017 during the year 2017.
