Annual Rainfall in Haryana, Delhi & Chandigarh Subdivision from 1901 to 2017

No clear trend is visible in annual rainfall in Haryana, Delhi & Chandigarh subdivision during 1901 to 2017. Annual rainfall of 390.1 mms was there in Haryana, Delhi & Chandigarh subdivision during 1901. It has increased by 7.61% to 419.8 mms during 1902 over 1901. We have seen annual decline of -38.63% in annual rainfall in Haryana, Delhi & Chandigarh subdivision to 338.2 mms during 1951 against 551.1 mms during 1950.

Annual growth of 26.3% has been observed in annual rainfall in Haryana, Delhi & Chandigarh subdivision from 384.4 mms during 2000 to 485.5 mms during 2001. Annual rainfall in Haryana, Delhi & Chandigarh subdivision was 421.6 mms during 2017, up by 5.74% versus 398.7 mms during 2016.

In Haryana, Delhi & Chandigarh subdivision; maximum annual rainfall of 986.7 mms and minimum annual rainfall of 234.7 mms has been seen in 1917 and 1918 respectively during the period under consideration. During the last 10 years from 2008 to 2017, we have found maximum annual rainfall of 710.4 mms in 2008 and minimum annual rainfall of 305.5 mms in 2014 in Haryana, Delhi & Chandigarh subdivision.

In Haryana, Delhi & Chandigarh subdivision; maximum monthly rainfall of 159.8 mms observed in July-2016 during the year 2016 and 121.2 mms seen in June-2017 during the year 2017.
