Annual Rainfall in Bihar Subdivision from 1901 to 2017

Annual rainfall of 952.3 mms was there in Bihar subdivision during 1901. It has increased by 26.66% to 1206.2 mms in 1902 over 1901. Annual de-growth of -24.4% has been observed in annual rainfall in Bihar subdivision to 850.2 mms during 1951 against 1124.6 mms during 1950.

We have seen annual growth of 3.31% in annual rainfall in Bihar subdivision from 1207 mms during 2000 to 1247 mms during 2001. Annual rainfall in Bihar subdivision was 1112 mms during 2017, down by -3.97% versus 1158 mms during 2016.

In Bihar subdivision; maximum annual rainfall of 1660.4 mms and minimum annual rainfall of 629.2 mms has been found in 1987 and 2010 respectively during the period under consideration. During the last 10 years from 2008 to 2017, we have seen maximum annual rainfall of 1197.7 mms in 2008 in Bihar subdivision. Maximum monthly rainfall of 357.9 mms observed in September-2016 during the year 2016 and 379.9 mms seen in July-2017 during the year 2017 in Bihar subdivision.
