In order to bring in a more efficient animal disease reporting system from the earlier system of reporting via postal communication that resulted in loss of time before actual control and containment measures could be taken, the Central Government implemented National Animal Disease Reporting System (NADRS), a web based computerised network linking each Block, District and State Headquarters to a Central Disease Reporting and Monitoring Unit at the Department of Animal Husbandry Dairying and Fisheries.
Amount sanctioned / released for expenditure for the NADRS was Rs. 751.65 lakhs during 2015-16. It has decreased by -11.78 lakhs (157 basis points) to Rs. 739.87 lakhs during 2016-17 above 2015-16. We have observed annual growth of 68.41% in amount sanctioned / released for expenditure for the NADRS during 2018-19 (upto 31st January 2019) versus Rs. 690.4 lakhs during 2017-18.
Maximum annual growth of 68.41% has been seen in 2018-19 (till 31/01/2019) and maximum annual decline of -6.69% has been found in 2017-18 in amount sanctioned / released for expenditure for the NADRS during the period under consideration.
