Allocation of Funds under Vaccination Programme in India during 2017-18

In year 2017-18, the budget allotted for the key vaccination was Rs. 1,777.03 crore as kind grant for supplies of all vaccines and cold chain equipments under vaccination programme in the country. The top 5 States/UTs with respect to funds allotted under vaccination programme during 2017-18 were Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, West Bengal and Rajasthan.

Allocation of funds under vaccination programme was Rs. 353.54 crore for Uttar Pradesh during 2017-18, which accounted 19.89% of the total funds allotted in India under this programme. There was allocation of Rs. 206.9 crore for Bihar under vaccination programme during 2017-18. It accounted 11.64% of the total funds allotted in India under this programme during the same period. Funds allotted to Maharashtra was Rs. 143.62 crore under vaccination programme during 2017-18, which accounted 8.08% of the total funds allotted in India under this programme.

There was allocation of Rs. 108.97 crore and Rs. 105.85 crore for West Bengal and Rajasthan respectively under vaccination programme during 2017-18. West Bengal accounted for 6.13% and Rajasthan accounted for 5.96% of the total funds allotted in India under this programme during 2017-18.
