In the year 2010-11, vegetables were grown in the total area of 8495.1 thousand hectares with a total production of 146553.7 – CAGR being 5.75% per annum during the period 2001-02 to 2010-11. The chart provides information on production of selected vegetables during the year 2001-02 and 2010-11. During this period Potato, Peas, Onion and Tomato have recorded CAGR of 6.28, 6.25, 12.46 and 9.23 respectively.
