All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) from January 2016 to July 2016

Consumer Price Index (CPI) measures changes over time in general level of prices of goods and services that households acquire for the purpose of consumption. For construction of CPI numbers, two requisite components are weighing diagrams (consumption patterns) and price data collected at regular intervals. The data refers to All India Consumer Price Index with base year 2012 =100 and combined for both rural and urban area.

All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) -Cereals and products has increased from 126.1 in January 2016 to 128.5 in July 2016 showing an increase of 2.4 points. All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) -Vegetables has increased from 141.5 in January 2016 to 165.4 in July 2016 showing an increase of 23.9 points. All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) -Fuel and light has increased from 122.7 in January 2016 to 123.4 in July 2016 showing an increase of 0.7 points.

All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) -General index has increased from 126.3 in January 2016 to 131.1 in July 2016 showing an increase of 4.8 points.

Consumer Price Index (CPI) for rural area-General index has increased from 128.1 in January 2016 to 133 in July 2016 showing an increase of 4.9 points. Consumer Price Index (CPI) for urban area-General index has increased from 124.2 in January 2016 to 129 in July 2016 showing an increase of 4.8 points.
