Air Craft Movement (ACM) during 1995-96 to 2012-13

Civil Aviation Industry is showing high growth in India. The data shows the number of aircraft movement during the period from 1995-96 to 2012-13. The number of international aircraft movement has increased from 92515 in 1995-96 to 313909 in 2012-13, showing a growth rate of 239.31% during the said period. The annual growth rate during this period is 14.08%.
The number of domestic aircraft movement has increased from 314727 in 1995-96 to 1164902 in 2012-13, showing a growth rate of 270.13% during the said period. The annual growth rate during this period is 15.89%.

The number of domestic ACM has increased at a higher pace i.e. 15.89% as compared to the rate of growth in number of international ACM i.e. 14.08%, reflecting high growth and prospering economic conditions in India leading to use of airlines by the Indian public for domestic travel.

Note: Aircraft Movements: In Aircraft Movements, landing and take-off of an aircraft are counted separately i.e., one landing and one take-off are counted as two movements.
