The Top 10 states of India ranked on the criterion of share of agriculture sector in total electricity sales in the financial year 2013-14 (AP) were: Rajasthan, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
The share of agriculture sector in total electricity sales in Rajasthan was 38.52% in the year 2009-10 (Actual). It increased to 40.32% in the year 2013-14 (AP), recording an increase of 1.8 percentage points as compared to 2009-10 (Actual).
The share of agriculture sector in total electricity sales in Karnataka was 35.18% in the year 2009-10 (Actual). It increased to 37.05% in the year 2013-14 (AP), recording an increase of 1.87 percentage points as compared to 2009-10 (Actual).
The share of agriculture sector in total electricity sales in Madhya Pradesh was 29.96% in the year 2009-10 (Actual). It increased to 33.68% in the year 2013-14 (AP), recording an increase of 3.72 percentage points as compared to 2009-10 (Actual).
The share of agriculture sector in total electricity sales in Punjab was 32.5% in the year 2009-10 (Actual). It decreased to 30.14% in the year 2013-14 (AP), recording a decrease of -2.36 percentage points as compared to 2009-10 (Actual).
The share of agriculture sector in total electricity sales in Andhra Pradesh was 30.53% in the year 2009-10 (Actual). It decreased to 27.09% in the year 2013-14 (AP), recording a decrease of -3.44 percentage points as compared to 2009-10 (Actual).
