The number of Active Non-Government Companies in all the sectors or in all the economic activities was 945276. The authorised capital of these companies was Rs.3085783 crores.

The number of Active Non-Government Companies in the Agriculture & Allied Activities sector was 23962. The authorised capital of these companies was Rs.44934 crores. These companies accounted for 2.53% of the total number of active Non-Government Companies in India and 1.46% of the total authorised capital of all the Active Non-Government Companies in India.

The number of Active Non-Government Companies in the Industry sector was 328743. The authorised capital of these companies was Rs.1591451 crores. These companies accounted for 34.78% of the total number of active Non-Government Companies in India and 51.57% of the total authorised capital of all the Active Non-Government Companies in India. Thus, the Active Non-Government Companies in the Industry sector had a share of about one-third in terms of the number of active Non-Government Companies in India, but their share in terms of the total authorised capital of all the active Non-Government Companies was more than half.

The number of Active Non-Government Companies in the Services sector was 550979. The authorised capital of these companies was Rs.1220120 crores. These companies accounted for 58.29% of the total number of active Non-Government Companies in India and 39.54% of the total authorised capital of all the Active Non-Government Companies in India.

The number of Active Non-Government Companies in the Unclassified sector was 41592. The authorised capital of these companies was Rs.229278 crores. These companies accounted for 4.4% of the total number of active Non-Government Companies in India and 7.43% of the total authorised capital of all the Active Non-Government Companies in India.
