The graph shown below explains the production of various cereals in percentage throughout Tamil Nadu during the period 2014-15. The total production of Cereals for the year 2014-15 is 1,20,28,249 tonnes, covering an area of 27,21,836 hectares and the average productivity of all cereals comes to 4,419 Kilograms per hectare.

The percentages of production of the top 6 cereals are indicated below.
1. Paddy – 66.10%
2. Maize – 22.00%
3. Cholam (Jowar) – 7.22%
4. Ragi – 2.91%
5. Cumbu (Bajra) – 1.48%
6. Small Millets – 0.29%
