Top 10 States/UTs in terms of Grant released under National AYUSH Mission for Drugs Quality Control Scheme Component during 2017-18

With the implementation of National AYUSH Mission since November 2014, financial support of Rs. 1108.73 lakh had been released to various States/UTs for quality control of Ayurvedic, Siddha, Unani and Homoeopathy (ASU&H) drugs related activities during 2014-15. It has increased by 59.46% to Rs. 1767.94 lakh during 2015-16 over 2014-15. It has decreased by -9.18% during 2016-17 over 2015-16. Total Grant released under National AYUSH Mission for Drugs Quality Control Scheme Component was Rs. 1121.01 lakh during 2017-18, down by -30.19% versus Rs. 1605.73 lakh during 2016-17.

Out of the total Grant released of Rs. 1121.01 lakh during 2017-18; Rs. 394.6 lakh was for Drug Testing Laboratory, Rs. 520.941 lakh was for Pharmacy and Rs. 205.47 lakh was for other.

The top 10 States/UTs in terms of Grant released under National AYUSH Mission for Drugs Quality Control Scheme Component during 2017-18 were Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Arunachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan.

Grant released for Uttarakhand under National AYUSH Mission for Drugs Quality Control Scheme Component was Rs. 153.91 lakh during 2017-18. It accounted 13.73% of the total Grant released to all the States/UTs under National AYUSH Mission for Drugs Quality Control Scheme Component during 2017-18. Grant released for West Bengal under National AYUSH Mission for Drugs Quality Control Scheme Component was Rs. 120 lakh during 2017-18, which accounted 10.7% of the total Grant released to all the States/UTs under the same. Grant released for Maharashtra under National AYUSH Mission for Drugs Quality Control Scheme Component was Rs. 103 lakh during 2017-18, which accounted 9.19% of the total Grant released to all the States/UTs under the same.

Grant released under National AYUSH Mission for Drugs Quality Control Scheme Component for Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Arunachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan was Rs. 98.67 lakh, Rs. 98.49 lakh, Rs. 92.34 lakh, Rs. 87.72 lakh, Rs. 73.58 lakh, Rs. 63.88 lakh and Rs. 39.1 lakh respectively during 2017-18.

The above mentioned top 10 states accounted for 83.02% of the total Grant released under National AYUSH Mission for Drugs Quality Control Scheme Component to all the States/UTs as a whole during 2017-18.
