Product-wise Production of Petroleum Products during 2016-17

During 2016-17, total production of petroleum products was 243550.821 thousand metric tonnes in India. Various petroleum products namely LPG, Motor Spirit, Naphtha, ATF, SKO, Diesel, Furnace Oil, Bitumen, Lube Oil, Petroleum Coke, Others were produced during 2016-17. Production of Diesel was the maximum of 103113.069 thousand metric tonnes (42.34%) within petroleum products during 2016-17, followed by Motor Spirit, Others, Naphtha, petroleum Coke, ATF, LPG, Furnace Oil, SKO, Bitumen and Lube Oil.

Production of Motor Spirit was 36593.314 thousand metric tonnes during 2016-17. It accounted 15.02% of the total production of petroleum products during 2016-17. Production of other petroleum products was 22857.557 thousand metric tonnes during 2016-17. It accounted 9.39% of the total production of petroleum products during 2016-17.

Production of Naphtha was 19945.951 thousand metric tonnes and Petroleum Coke was 13935.638 thousand metric tonnes during 2016-17. Production of Naphtha and Petroleum Coke accounted for 8.19% and 5.72% respectively of the total production of petroleum products during 2016-17.

Production of ATF, LPG, Furnace Oil, SKO, Bitumen and Lube Oil was 13830.959, 11325.802, 9693.507, 6040.867, 5185.381 and 1028.776 thousand metric tonnes respectively during 2016-17.
