District-wise Percentage of Households with electricity in Tamil Nadu during 2015-16 (NFHS-4)

As per National Family Health Survey-4 (NFHS-4), Kancheepuram district had maximum percentage of Households with electricity in Tamil Nadu, i.e., 99.7% during 2015-16. There were few other districts namely Chennai, Tiruppur, Vellore, Namakkal, Kanniyakumari, Viluppuram, Tirunelveli, Salem and Krishnagiri which were found above or equal to 99% of Households with electricity in Tamil Nadu during 2015-16. Chennai, Tiruppur, Vellore, Namakkal, Kanniyakumari, Viluppuram, Tirunelveli, Salem and Krishnagiri had 99.6%, 99.5%, 99.5%, 99.4%, 99.3%, 99.3%, 99.1%, 99% and 99% respectively Households with electricity in Tamil Nadu during 2015-16.

There were other districts namely Thiruvallur, Tiruchirappalli, Cuddalore, Madurai, Perambalur, Tiruvannamalai, Coimbatore, Karur, Virudhunagar, Erode, Dharmapuri, Nagapattinam, Sivaganga, Ariyalur, Thoothukkudi and Ramanathapuram which were seen above 98% but below 99% of Households with electricity in Tamil Nadu during 2015-16. Other districts were there namely Theni, The Nilgiris, Dindigul, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur and Pudukkottai which were found below 98% of Households with electricity in Tamil Nadu during 2015-16. Theni, The Nilgiris, Dindigul, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur and Pudukkottai had 97.4%, 97.2%, 97.1%, 97%, 97% and 97% respectively Households with electricity in Tamil Nadu during 2015-16.
