Import & Export of Crude Oil and Petroleum Products during 2010-11 to 2016-17

An increasing trend has been observed in Total Import of Crude Oil and Petroleum Products during 2010-11 to 2016-17. But in case of Total Export of Crude Oil and Petroleum Products, no clear trend has been seen during 2010-11 to 2016-17. Compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.49% has been observed in Total Import of Crude Oil and Petroleum Products from 180974.441 thousand metric tonnes during 2010-11 to 249345.499 thousand metric tonnes during 2016-17. CAGR of 1.74% has been observed in Total Export of Crude Oil and Petroleum Products from 59077.093 thousand metric tonnes during 2010-11 to 65513 thousand metric tonnes during 2016-17. So there were net Import of 121897.348 thousand metric tonnes and 183832.499 thousand metric tonnes during 2010-11 and 2016-17 respectively.

Under Import we have found 2 categories like Crude Oil Imported and Petroleum Products Imported during 2010-11 to 2016-17. We have observed a CAGR of 4.57% in Import of Crude Oil from 163595 thousand metric tonnes during 2010-11 to 213932.03 thousand metric tonnes during 2016-17. Under Petroleum Products there were various products namely LPG, Petrol, Naphtha, Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF), Kerosene, Diesel, Lubes, Fuel Oil, Bitumen and Others were imported with 11026.403, 476.247, 2692.692, 337.506, 0, 996.072, 2013.615, 955.775, 954.613 and 15960.546 thousand metric tonnes respectively during 2016-17.

Under Export we have found only one category i.e., Petroleum Products Exported during 2010-11 to 2016-17. Under Petroleum Products there were various products namely LPG, Petrol, Naphtha, Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF), Kerosene, Diesel, Lubes, Fuel Oil, Bitumen and Others were exported with 316.746, 15416.763, 8726.939, 7270.443, 15.389, 27452.31, 12.709, 2247.5, 37.807 and 4016.359 thousand metric tonnes respectively during 2016-17.

Maximum annual growth of 10.24% has been observed in Total Import of Crude Oil and Petroleum Products in 2015-16 during the period under consideration. Maximum annual growth of 8.22% has been observed in Total Export of Crude Oil and Petroleum Products in 2016-17 during the period under consideration.
