Production of Alkali Chemicals under Major Chemicals during 2009-10 to 2016-17

Production of Alkali Chemicals has the highest weightage to Production of total Major Chemicals during 2009-10 to 2016-17. India has witnessed a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 2.67% in Production of Alkali Chemicals during 2009-10 to 2016-17. There were various products namely Soda Ash, Caustic Soda and Liquid Chlorine were produced under Alkali Chemicals Group of Major Chemicals during 2009-10 to 2016-17.

We have observed a CAGR of 3.47% in Production of Soda Ash under Alkali Chemicals Group during 2009-10 to 2016-17. Production of Soda Ash was 2058.335 thousand metric tonne during 2009-10. It increased by 11.68% to 2298.755 thousand metric tonne during 2010-11 over 2009-10. We have seen an annual growth of 1.18% in Production of Soda Ash under Alkali Chemicals Group from 2583.013 thousand metric tonne during 2015-16 to 2613.419 thousand metric tonne during 2016-17.

We have observed a CAGR of 2.14% in Production of Caustic Soda under Alkali Chemicals Group during 2009-10 to 2016-17. Production of Caustic Soda was 2237.616 thousand metric tonne during 2009-10. It increased by 4.33% to 2334.446 thousand metric tonne during 2010-11 over 2009-10. We have seen an annual growth of 3.62% in Production of Caustic Soda under Alkali Chemicals Group from 2503.955 thousand metric tonne during 2015-16 to 2594.495 thousand metric tonne during 2016-17.

We have observed a CAGR of 2.32% in Production of Liquid Chlorine under Alkali Chemicals Group during 2009-10 to 2016-17. Production of Liquid Chlorine was 1533.806 thousand metric tonne during 2009-10. It increased by 6.77% to 1637.618 thousand metric tonne during 2010-11 over 2009-10. We have seen an annual growth of 5.01% in Production of Liquid Chlorine under Alkali Chemicals Group from 1714.816 thousand metric tonne during 2015-16 to 1800.666 thousand metric tonne during 2016-17.
