Allopathic General Duty Medical Officers at Community Health Centres as on 31st March 2017

There were 14350 Allopathic General Duty Medical Officers (GDMOs) in position at Community Health Centres (CHCs) as on 31st March 2017 in India. The top 5 States/UTs in terms of having highest number of Allopathic GDMOs in position at CHCs as on 31-03-2017 were; Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Kerala, Gujarat and West Bengal.

There were 2547 Allopathic GDMOs in position at CHCs in Tamil Nadu as on 31st March 2017. It accounted for 17.75% of the total Allopathic GDMOs in position at CHCs in India as on 31-03-2017. There were 1045 Allopathic GDMOs in position at CHCs in Rajasthan as on 31st March 2017. It accounted for 7.28% of the total Allopathic GDMOs in position at CHCs in India as on 31-03-2017. There were 1019 Allopathic GDMOs in position at CHCs in Kerala as on 31st March 2017. It accounted for 7.1% of the total Allopathic GDMOs in position at CHCs in India as on 31-03-2017.

As on 31st March 2017, 966 Allopathic GDMOs were in position at CHCs in Gujarat, which accounted 6.73% of the total Allopathic GDMOs in position at CHCs in India. As on 31st March 2017, 871 Allopathic GDMOs were in position at CHCs in West Bengal, which accounted 6.07% of the total Allopathic GDMOs in position at CHCs in India.

These above mentioned top 5 states accounted for 44.93% of the total Allopathic General Duty Medical Officers (GDMOs) in position at Community Health Centres (CHCs) in India as a whole as on 31-03-2017.
