Vulnerable States/UTs for Senior Citizen during 2016

The top 10 States/UTs in Crime rate against Senior Citizen (60 years and above) (IPC) during 2016 were Chandigarh, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh and Goa. Out of these top 10 States/UTs during 2016; Chandigarh, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi were the most Vulnerable States/UTs for Senior Citizen having more Crime rate of 71.6, 67.9 and 59.7 respectively than All India (54.1) Crime rate. There were 48, 3877 and 685 Crime Incidences reported in Chandigarh, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi respectively against Senior Citizen during 2016. There were 48, 3900 and 686 Victims of Crime reported for the Incidences in Chandigarh, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi respectively against Senior Citizen during 2016.

In Andhra Pradesh, there was Crime rate of 46.4 seen against Senior Citizen with 2243 Incidences and 2255 Victims during 2016. In Chhattisgarh, there was Crime rate of 45 seen against Senior Citizen with 902 Incidences and 911 Victims during 2016. In Maharashtra, there was Crime rate of 42.3 seen against Senior Citizen with 4694 Incidences and 4747 Victims during 2016.

There were 1382, 2895, 233 and 43 Crime Incidences reported in Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh and Goa respectively against Senior Citizen during 2016.There were 1455, 3207, 237 and 45 Victims of Crime reported in Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh and Goa respectively against Senior Citizen during 2016. There was Crime rate of 40.1, 38.5, 33.1 and 26.3 seen in Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh and Goa respectively against Senior Citizen during 2016.
