Diamond production in India from 2000-01 to 2015-16

No comprehensible trend was seen in production of Diamond during 2000-01 to 2015-16 in India. Diamond production in India was 57407 carat during 2000-01. We have observed an annual growth of 41.86% in production of Diamond in India to 81436 carat during 2001-02. Its value was Rs. 300687 and Rs. 396047 thousand during 2000-01 and 2001-02 respectively.

An annual decline of -3.76% has been observed during 2014-15 over 2013-14 from 37517 carat in Diamond production in India. Its value was Rs. 614087 thousand during 2013-14. We have seen an annual de-growth of -0.1% in production of Diamond in India from 36107 carat during 2014-15 to 36070 carat during 2015-16. In value term, it was Rs. 613504 and Rs. 621441 thousand during 2014-15 and 2015-16 respectively.

Maximum production of 84407 carat was recorded in production of Diamond in India in 2002-03 during the period under consideration. A maximum annual growth of 3051.31% was observed in production of Diamond in India in 2009-10 during the period under consideration. Minimum production of 536 carat was recorded in production of Diamond in India in 2008-09 during the period under consideration.
