State/UT-wise Percentage of Higher Secondary Schools with Electricity during 2015-16

A gradual growth has been seen in Percentage of Higher Secondary Schools with Electricity in India during 2013-14 to 2015-16. Percentage of Higher Secondary Schools with Electricity in India was 91.01%, 92.67% and 92.86 during 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16 respectively.

There were 13 States/UTs namely Arunachal Pradesh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Puducherry, Punjab, Tamil Nadu and Uttarakhand which had 100% of Higher Secondary Schools with Electricity during 2015-16.

There were 17 States/UTs which were laid between 50% and 99% of Higher Secondary Schools with Electricity during 2015-16. These States/UTs were Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Karnataka, Telangana, Mizoram, Manipur, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Kerala which had Percentage of Higher Secondary Schools with Electricity of 50%, 50%, 68.58%, 77.78%, 79.31%, 80%, 86.03%, 87.09%, 91.48%, 91.67%, 93.06%, 94.15%, 94.93%, 95.52%, 95.8%, 96.66% and 98.46% respectively during 2015-16.

There were 6 States/UTs namely Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Lakshadweep, Rajasthan, Sikkim and Tripura which had 0% of Higher Secondary Schools with Electricity during 2015-16.
