Top 5 States/UTs in terms of highest Net Domestic Product at current prices during 2015-16

We have observed an annual growth of 10.21% in All India Net Domestic Product (NDP) at current prices from Rs. 11108576 crore during 2014-15 to Rs. 12242873 crore during 2015-16. The top 5 States/UTs in terms of highest NDP at current prices during 2015-16 were Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh.

Net Domestic Product at current prices in Tamil Nadu was Rs. 1080461 crore during 2015-16. It accounted 8.83% of the All India NDP at current prices during 2015-16. Annual growth of 11.28% has been seen in NDP at current prices in Tamil Nadu during 2015-16 over 2014-15 from Rs. 970953 crore. Net Domestic Product at current prices in Uttar Pradesh was Rs. 1024222 crore during 2015-16. It accounted 8.37% of the All India NDP at current prices during 2015-16. Annual growth of 10.67% has been seen in NDP at current prices in Uttar Pradesh during 2015-16 over 2014-15 from Rs. 925437 crore. Net Domestic Product at current prices in Karnataka was Rs. 940006 crore during 2015-16. It accounted 7.68% of the All India NDP at current prices during 2015-16. Annual growth of 11.39% has been seen in NDP at current prices in Karnataka during 2015-16 over 2014-15 from Rs. 843918 crore.

Net Domestic Product at current prices in Gujarat was Rs. 886092 crore during 2015-16. It accounted 7.24% of the All India NDP at current prices during 2015-16. Net Domestic Product at current prices in Andhra Pradesh was Rs. 545638 crore during 2015-16. It accounted 4.46% of the All India NDP at current prices during 2015-16.

The above mentioned top 5 states accounted for 36.56% of the All India Net Domestic Product at current prices as a whole during 2015-16.
