Top 10 States/UTs in highest Gross Domestic Product at Constant Prices during 2015-16

Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of India at Constant Prices was Rs. 10522686 crore and Rs. 11357529 crore during 2014-15 and 2015-16 respectively. Annual growth of 7.93% was seen in GDP of India at Constant Prices during 2015-16 over 2014-15. The top 10 States/UTs in terms of highest GDP at Constant Prices during 2015-16 were Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Telangana, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana.

GDP at Constant Prices in Tamil Nadu was Rs. 979816 crore during 2015-16. It accounted 8.63% of All India GDP at Constant Prices during 2015-16. GDP at Constant Prices in Uttar Pradesh was Rs. 914748 crore during 2015-16. It accounted 8.05% of All India GDP at Constant Prices during 2015-16. GDP at Constant Prices in Gujarat was Rs. 864314 crore during 2015-16. It accounted 7.61% of All India GDP at Constant Prices during 2015-16. GDP at Constant Prices in Karnataka was Rs. 815545 crore during 2015-16. It accounted 7.18% of All India GDP at Constant Prices during 2015-16. GDP at Constant Prices in Andhra Pradesh was Rs. 490134 crore during 2015-16. It accounted 4.32% of All India GDP at Constant Prices during 2015-16.

These top 5 States/UTs accounted for 35.79% of All India Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at Constant Prices as a whole during 2015-16.

GDP at Constant Prices in Kerala, Telangana, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana was Rs. 467243 crore, Rs. 464389 crore, Rs. 460217 crore, Rs. 414607 crore and Rs. 399646 crore respectively during 2015-16.

The above mentioned top 10 States/UTs accounted for 55.21% of All India Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at Constant Prices as a whole during 2015-16.
