State/UT-wise Crime rate of Theft offences against Property during 2016

Crime rate of theft (Sec 379 to 382 IPC) offences against property was 38.8 during 2016 in India. The top 5 States/UTs in terms of having highest crime rate of theft (Sec 379 to 382 IPC) offences against property in India during 2016 were; Delhi, Mizoram, Haryana, Chandigarh and Maharashtra.

Crime rate of theft offences against property was 609.2 in Delhi during 2016. There were 130928 incidents and 131418 victims of theft offences reported against property during 2016 in Delhi. Crime rate of theft offences against property was 90.1 in Mizoram during 2016. There were 961 incidents and 973 victims of theft offences reported against property during 2016 in Mizoram. Crime rate of theft offences against property was 78.7 in Haryana during 2016. There were 21741 incidents and 21741 victims of theft offences reported against property during 2016 in Haryana.

Crime rate of theft offences against property was 51 in Chandigarh during 2016. There were 918 incidents and 918 victims of theft offences reported against property during 2016 in Chandigarh. Crime rate of theft offences against property was 49 in Maharashtra during 2016. There were 59097 incidents and 59133 victims of theft offences reported against property during 2016 in Maharashtra.

The bottom 5 States/UTs in terms of crime rate of theft (Sec 379 to 382 IPC) offences against property during 2016 were Tripura, Himachal Pradesh, D&N Haveli, Lakshadweep and Kerala which laid from 6.4 to 11.
