State/UT-wise SC Female Students Availing Education Loan in 2012-2013

Ministry of Human Resource Development had initiated an All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) in 2011 to prepare a sound database on Higher Education in the country.  The survey covers all the institutions in the country engaged in imparting the higher education.  It is getting updated from the annual data submitted by the institutions.

The number of Schedule Caste (SC) female students availing education loan for higher education in India in 2012-2013 was 10802.

Top 5 States were Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra and Gujarat.

The number of SC female students availing education loan for higher education in Tamil Nadu in 2012-2013 was 7210. Thus, the percentage of SC female students availing education loan for higher education in Tamil Nadu was 66.7% of total SC female students availing education loan for higher education in India in 2012-13.

The number of SC female students availing education loan for higher education in Karnataka in 2012-2013 was 733. Thus, the percentage of SC female students availing education loan for higher education in Karnataka was 6.8% of total SC female students availing education loan for higher education in India in 2012-13.

The number of SC female students availing education loan for higher education in Uttarakhand in 2012-2013 was 470. Thus, the percentage of SC female students availing education loan for higher education in Kerala was 4.4% of total SC female students availing education loan for higher education in India in 2012-13.

The number of SC female students availing education loan for higher education in Maharashtra in 2012-2013 was 395. Thus, the percentage of SC female students availing education loan for higher education in Maharashtra was 3.7% of total SC female students availing education loan for higher education in India in 2012-13.

The number of SC female students availing education loan for higher education in Gujarat in 2012-2013 was 318. Thus, the percentage of SC female students availing education loan for higher education in West Bengal was 2.9% of total SC female students availing education loan for higher education in India in 2012-13.
