Production of Chromite from 2000-01 to 2015-16

We have seen a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 2.59% in Chromite production from 1971806 tonne during 2000-01 to 2893997 tonne during 2015-16.

Production of Chromite was 1971806 tonne during 2000-01. In value term, it was Rs. 3649795 thousand during 2000-01. Production of Chromite was 1548900 tonne during 2001-02. In value term, it was Rs. 2660411 thousand during 2001-02. It decreased by -422906 tonne during 2001-02 as compared to the previous year 2000-01. In percentage term, the decrease was -21.45% during 2001-02 over 2000-01.

We have seen an annual decline of -7.98% in Chromite production from 5295551 tonne during 2006-07 to 4872847 tonne during 2007-08. Its value was Rs. 14501689 thousand and Rs. 21421925 thousand during 2006-07 and 2007-08 respectively. Production of Chromite was 4073479 tonne during 2008-09. In value term, it was Rs. 22633627 thousand during 2008-09. It decreased by -799368 tonne during 2008-09 as compared to the previous year 2007-08. In percentage term, the decrease was -16.4% during 2008-09 over 2007-08.

We have seen an annual decline of -24.14% in Chromite production from 2852854 tonne during 2013-14 to 2164163 tonne during 2014-15. Its value was Rs. 23175932 thousand and Rs. 18800279 thousand during 2013-14 and 2014-15 respectively. Production of Chromite was 2893997 tonne during 2015-16. In value term, it was Rs. 23047531 thousand during 2015-16. It increased by 729834 tonne during 2015-16 as compared to the previous year 2014-15. In percentage term, the increase was 33.72% during 2015-16 over 2014-15.

The maximum annual growth of 1581267 tonne was recorded in Chromite production in the year 2006-07 during the period under consideration. The maximum annual growth rate, i.e., 98.12% was recorded in Chromite production in the year 2002-03 during the period under consideration.
