The traffic handled in Overseas Loaded category in 2000-01 was 0 thousand tonnes. The traffic handled in Coastal Unloaded category in 2000-01 was 44 thousand tonnes. The traffic handled in Coastal Loaded category in 2000-01 was 162 thousand tonnes.

The traffic handled at non-major port in Tamil Nadu in the Overseas Unloaded category in 2001-02 was 103 thousand tonnes. It recorded a decline of -19.5% over the previous year. The traffic handled in Overseas Loaded category in 2001-02 was 0 thousand tonnes. The traffic handled in Coastal Unloaded category in 2001-02 was 138 thousand tonnes.
