Production of Natural Gas from 2000-01 to 2015-16

We have seen a compound annual growth rate of 0.74% in Natural Gas production from 27860 mcm during 2000-01 to 31114 mcm during 2015-16.

Production of Natural Gas was 27860 mcm during 2000-01. In value term, it was Rs. 80702400 thousand during 2000-01. Production of Natural Gas was 28038 mcm during 2001-02. In value term, it was Rs. 81391200 thousand during 2001-02. It increased by 178 mcm during 2001-02 as compared to the previous year 2000-01. In percentage term, the increase was 0.64% during 2001-02 over 2000-01.

We have seen an annual growth of 2.11% in Natural Gas production from 31747 mcm during 2006-07 to 32417 mcm during 2007-08. Its value was Rs. 97641600 thousand and Rs. 99687040 thousand during 2006-07 and 2007-08 respectively. Production of Natural Gas was 32849 mcm during 2008-09. In value term, it was Rs. 101077120 thousand during 2008-09. It increased by 432 mcm during 2008-09 as compared to the previous year 2007-08. In percentage term, the increase was 1.33% during 2008-09 over 2007-08.

We have seen an annual growth of -4.95% in Natural Gas production from 35407 mcm during 2013-14 to 33656 mcm during 2014-15. Its value was Rs. 292820422 thousand and Rs. 278339428 thousand during 2013-14 and 2014-15 respectively. Production of Natural Gas was 31114 mcm during 2015-16. In value term, it was Rs. 257316760 thousand during 2015-16. It decreased by 2542 mcm during 2015-16 as compared to the previous year 2014-15. In percentage term, the decrease was -7.55% during 2015-16 over 2014-15.

The maximum annual growth of 14661 mcm was recorded in Natural Gas production in the year 2009-10 during the period under consideration. The maximum annual growth rate, i.e., 44.63% was recorded in Natural Gas production in the year 2009-10 during the period under consideration.
