Category-wise Production Value of Minerals from 2000-01 to 2015-16

We have seen a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.77%, 15.4%, 7.76% and 15.17% in Production Value of Minerals like Fuel, Metallic, Non-Metallic and Minor-Minerals respectively from 2000-01 to 2015-16.

Production Value of Fuel during 2001-02 was Rs. 493240240 thousand. It increased by Rs. 14229938 thousand during 2001-02 as compared to the previous year 2000-01. In percentage term, the increase was 2.97% during 2001-02 over 2000-01. We have seen a growth of 0.33% in Production Value of Fuel from Rs. 1933720761 thousand during 2014-15 to Rs. 1940099128 thousand during 2015-16. The maximum annual growth rate of 63.89% was recorded for Fuel in 2008-09 over 2007-08 during the period under consideration.

Production Value of Metallic during 2001-02 was Rs. 39781400 thousand. It increased by Rs. 2495800 thousand during 2001-02 as compared to the previous year 2000-01. In percentage term, the increase was 6.69% during 2001-02 over 2000-01. We have seen a decline of -12.98% in Production Value of Metallic from Rs. 367125559 thousand during 2014-15 to Rs. 319468524 thousand during 2015-16. The maximum annual growth rate of 81.19% was recorded for Metallic in 2004-05 over 2003-04 during the period under consideration.

Production Value of Non-Metallic during 2001-02 was Rs. 20480900 thousand. It increased by Rs. 136500 thousand during 2001-02 as compared to the previous year 2000-01. In percentage term, the increase was 0.67% during 2001-02 over 2000-01. We have seen a growth of 4.23% in Production Value of Non-Metallic from Rs. 59845450 thousand during 2014-15 to Rs. 62375850 thousand during 2015-16. The maximum annual growth rate of 27.03% was recorded for Non-Metallic in 2012-13 over 2011-12 during the period under consideration.

Production Value of Minor-Minerals during 2001-02 was Rs. 55805654 thousand. It increased by Rs. 4793432 thousand during 2001-02 as compared to the previous year 2000-01. In percentage term, the increase was 9.4% during 2001-02 over 2000-01. We have seen a growth of 0% in Production Value of Minor-Minerals during 2015-16 over 2014-15. Minor-Minerals production was Rs. 424589365 thousand during 2014-15 and 2015-16. The maximum annual growth rate of 59.5% was recorded for Minor-Minerals in 2006-07 over 2005-06 during the period under consideration.
