16759 Un-Natural deaths reported in India due to Falls during 2015. Out of these 16759 falls deaths; the number of males, females and transgenders were 13968 (83.35%), 2790 (16.65%) and 1 (0.01%) respectively. The falls deaths had a weightage of 5% out of the total number of Un-Natural deaths (336051) during 2015. The top 5 States/UTs in terms of number of falls deaths during 2015 were: Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan.
There were 3314 Un-Natural deaths reported in Maharashtra due to falls during 2015, which accounted 19.77% of total falls deaths reported in India during the year. Out of these 3314 falls deaths; 2761 (83.31%) were male and 553 (16.69%) were female. There were 2309 Un-Natural deaths reported in Gujarat due to falls during 2015, which accounted 13.78% of total falls deaths reported in India during the year. Out of these 2309 falls deaths; 1920 (83.15%) were male and 389 (16.85%) were female. There were 1487 Un-Natural deaths reported in Madhya Pradesh due to falls during 2015, which accounted 8.87% of total falls deaths reported in India during the year. Out of these 1487 falls deaths; 1135 (76.33%) were male and 352 (23.67%) were female.
There were 1310 Un-Natural deaths reported in Tamil Nadu due to falls during 2015, which accounted 7.82% of total falls deaths reported in India during the year. Out of these 1310 falls deaths; 1124 (85.8%) were male and 186 (14.2%) were female. There were 1134 Un-Natural deaths reported in Rajasthan due to falls during 2015, which accounted 6.77% of total falls deaths reported in India during the year. Out of these 1134 falls deaths; 909 (80.16%) were male and 225 (19.84%) were female.
The above mentioned top 5 states accounted for 57.01% of the total falls deaths reported in India as a whole during 2015.
The 4 States/UTs namely Manipur, Daman & Diu, Lakshadweep and Nagaland having less than 10 Un-Natural deaths reported due to Falls during 2015. During 2015, there were 7 falls deaths reported in Manipur followed by Daman & Diu with 6, Lakshadweep with 1 and Nagaland with 1.
