Category-wise Staff Strength of Scheduled Private Airlines from 2007-08 to 2015-16

India has witnessed a compound annual growth rate of 8.09% in total staff strength of Scheduled Private Airlines from 2007-08 to 2015-16. We have seen a growth of 16.24% in total staff strength in Scheduled Private Airlines to 39717 during 2015-16 over previous year. We have seen a growth of 12.11% in total staff strength in Scheduled Private Airlines to 34168 during 2014-15 over previous year. We have seen a growth of 10.53% in total staff strength in Scheduled Private Airlines from 27572 during 2012-13 to 30476 during 2013-14.

During 2015-16, there was a total staff strength of 39717 in Scheduled Private Airlines. Out of which 4553 (11.46%) were Pilots & Co-Pilots, 9491 (23.9%) were Other Flight Personnel, 4793 (12.07%) were Maintenance & Overhaul Personnel, 2471 (6.22%) were Ticketing & Sales Personnel and 18409 (46.35%) were Others. During 2014-15, there was a total staff strength of 34168 in Scheduled Private Airlines. Out of which 3825 (11.19%) were Pilots & Co-Pilots, 7914 (23.16%) were Other Flight Personnel, 4520 (13.23%) were Maintenance & Overhaul Personnel, 1743 (5.1%) were Ticketing & Sales Personnel and 16166 (47.31%) were Others. During 2013-14, there was a total staff strength of 30476 in Scheduled Private Airlines. Out of which 3325 (10.91%) were Pilots & Co-Pilots, 7078 (23.22%) were Other Flight Personnel, 4279 (14.04%) were Maintenance & Overhaul Personnel, 1719 (5.64%) were Ticketing & Sales Personnel and 14075 (46.18%) were Others.

We have seen a decline of -12.71% in total staff strength in Scheduled Private Airlines from 28573 during 2010-11 to 24940 during 2011-12. We have seen a growth of 0.27% in total staff strength in Scheduled Private Airlines to 18864 during 2009-10 over previous year. We have seen a decline of -11.73% in total staff strength in Scheduled Private Airlines from 21313 during 2007-08 to 18813 during 2008-09.

During 2011-12, there was a total staff strength of 24940 in Scheduled Private Airlines. Out of which 2911 (11.67%) were Pilots & Co-Pilots, 6038 (24.21%) were Other Flight Personnel, 3770 (15.12%) were Maintenance & Overhaul Personnel, 1828 (7.33%) were Ticketing & Sales Personnel and 10393 (41.67%) were Others. During 2010-11, there was a total staff strength of 28573 in Scheduled Private Airlines. Out of which 2228 (7.8%) were Pilots & Co-Pilots, 5468 (19.14%) were Other Flight Personnel, 3495 (12.23%) were Maintenance & Overhaul Personnel, 1952 (6.83%) were Ticketing & Sales Personnel and 15430 (54%) were Others. During 2008-09, there was a total staff strength of 18813 in Scheduled Private Airlines. Out of which 1710 (9.09%) were Pilots & Co-Pilots, 5272 (28.02%) were Other Flight Personnel, 3064 (16.29%) were Maintenance & Overhaul Personnel, 1253 (6.66%) were Ticketing & Sales Personnel and 7514 (39.94%) were Others. During 2007-08, there was a total staff strength of 21313 in Scheduled Private Airlines. Out of which 1745 (8.19%) were Pilots & Co-Pilots, 5626 (26.4%) were Other Flight Personnel, 3231 (15.16%) were Maintenance & Overhaul Personnel, 2262 (10.61%) were Ticketing & Sales Personnel and 8449 (39.64%) were Others.
