The length of national highways of less than 2 lanes in India was 31089 kilometres as on 31.03.2015. There were 9 states having more than 1500 kilometres national highways of less than 2 lanes viz. Maharashtra, Arunachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh as on 31.03.2015.
The length of national highways of less than 2 lanes in Maharashtra was 2667 kilometres as on 31.03.2015. It had a share of 8.58% in the total length of national highways of less than 2 lanes in India as on 31.03.2015. The length of national highways of less than 2 lanes in Arunachal Pradesh was 2361 kilometres as on 31.03.2015. It had a share of 7.59% in the total length of national highways of less than 2 lanes in India as on 31.03.2015.
The length of national highways of less than 2 lanes in Karnataka was 2315 kilometres as on 31.03.2015. It had a share of 7.45% in the total length of national highways of less than 2 lanes in India as on 31.03.2015. The length of national highways of less than 2 lanes in Uttarakhand was 2088 kilometres as on 31.03.2015. It had a share of 6.72% in the total length of national highways of less than 2 lanes in India as on 31.03.2015.
