Minimum Temperature of India from 2000 to 2014

The minimum temperature of India has shown an inconsistent pattern recording rise and decline during various years in the time period between the years 2000 to 2014. The visualisation depicts the minimum temperature recorded, average of temperature of India, on the periodical basis during the year, which is divided into four periods namely January-February, March – May, June- September and October – December. The minimum temperature has varied in a particular period over the years on one hand; and on the other hand, it has also varied between these four periods during the same year.

The minimum temperature comparing the different periods in the year in India was recorded during the period January-February between the years 2000 to 2014.

The minimum temperature recorded during January-February was 13.84 degree Celsius in the year 2000. It increased to 14.26 degree Celsius in the year 2014 recording a growth of 0.42 degree Celsius between the years 2000 to 2014. The minimum temperature recorded during March – May was 20.77 degree Celsius in the year 2000. It decreased to 20.66 degree Celsius in the year 2014 recording a decline of -0.11 degree Celsius between the years 2000 to 2014.

The minimum temperature recorded during June- September was 23.25 degree Celsius in the year 2000. It increased to 23.8 degree Celsius in the year 2014 recording a growth of 0.55 degree Celsius between the years 2000 to 2014. The minimum temperature recorded during October – December was 16.88 degree Celsius in the year 2000. It increased to 17.2 degree Celsius in the year 2014 recording a growth of 0.32 degree Celsius between the years 2000 to 2014.

Thus, it is evident from the above analysis that the minimum temperature of India on an average has risen between the years 2000 to 2014 in consonance with the global temperature rise or global warming.
