Funds Sanctioned by National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation in 2015-16

The total amount of funds sanctioned by NSTFDC for various States/UTs in India was Rs. 23379.59 lakhs in 2015-16. It increased by Rs. 404.59 lakhs as compared to the amount of Rs. 22975 lakhs in 2014-15. Thus, the annual growth recorded in the year 2015-16 was 1.76%. There were 7 states having more than Rs. 1000 lakhs in the amount of funds sanctioned by National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation (NSTFDC)viz. Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan.

The amount of funds sanctioned by NSTFDC for Gujarat was Rs. 4216.67 lakhs in 2015-16. It increased by Rs. 4135.09 lakhs as compared to the amount of Rs. 81.58 lakhs in 2014-15. Thus, the annual growth recorded in the year 2015-16 was 5068.75%. This huge growth in percentage terms was due to a very meager base in the financial year 2014-15.

The amount of funds sanctioned by NSTFDC for Andhra Pradesh was Rs. 4004.43 lakhs in 2015-16. The amount of funds sanctioned by NSTFDC for Arunachal Pradesh was Rs. 3556.7 lakhs in 2015-16. It decreased by Rs. -1096.3 lakhs as compared to the amount of Rs. 4653 lakhs in 2014-15. Thus, the annual decrease recorded in the year 2015-16 was -23.56%.

The amount of funds sanctioned by NSTFDC for Mizoram was Rs. 3428.8 lakhs in 2015-16. It increased by Rs. 3306.07 lakhs as compared to the amount of Rs. 122.73 lakhs in 2014-15. Thus, the annual growth recorded in the year 2015-16 was 2693.77%. This huge growth in percentage terms was due to a meager base in the financial year 2014-15. The amount of funds sanctioned by NSTFDC for Maharashtra was Rs. 2050.95 lakhs in 2015-16. It increased by Rs. 384.27 lakhs as compared to the amount of Rs. 1666.68 lakhs in 2014-15. Thus, the annual growth recorded in the year 2015-16 was 23.06%.

The amount of funds sanctioned by NSTFDC for Chhattisgarh was Rs. 1431.18 lakhs in 2015-16. It decreased by Rs. -2.42 lakhs as compared to the amount of Rs. 1433.6 lakhs in 2014-15. Thus, the annual decrease recorded in the year 2015-16 was -0.17%. The amount of funds sanctioned by NSTFDC for Rajasthan was Rs. 1334.42 lakhs in 2015-16. It decreased by Rs. -423.98 lakhs as compared to the amount of Rs. 1758.4 lakhs in 2014-15. Thus, the annual decrease recorded in the year 2015-16 was -24.11%.
