The seating capacity of ITIs in India as of April 2016 was 1865620. Out of these, the seating capacity of Government ITIs was 505618, while the seating capacity of private ITIs was 1360002. Thus, the percentage of seating capacity of Government ITIs was 27.1%, while the percentage of seating capacity of private ITIs was 72.9%.
The seating capacity of ITIs in Northern Region as of April 2016 was 680225. Out of these, the seating capacity of Government ITIs was 134530, while the seating capacity of private ITIs was 545695. Thus, the percentage of seating capacity of Government ITIs was 19.78%, while the percentage of seating capacity of private ITIs was 80.22%.
The seating capacity of ITIs in Southern Region as of April 2016 was 455586. Out of these, the seating capacity of Government ITIs was 101100, while the seating capacity of private ITIs was 354486. Thus, the percentage of seating capacity of Government ITIs was 22.19%, while the percentage of seating capacity of private ITIs was 77.81%.
The seating capacity of ITIs in Eastern Region as of April 2016 was 336323. Out of these, the seating capacity of Government ITIs was 61066, while the seating capacity of private ITIs was 275257. Thus, the percentage of seating capacity of Government ITIs was 18.16%, while the percentage of seating capacity of private ITIs was 81.84%.
The seating capacity of ITIs in Western Region as of April 2016 was 393486. Out of these, the seating capacity of Government ITIs was 208922, while the seating capacity of private ITIs was 184564. Thus, the percentage of seating capacity of Government ITIs was 53.1%, while the percentage of seating capacity of private ITIs was 46.9%.
