Willful Loan Defaulters of Nationalised Banks as on 31.12.2015

There were 9 nationalisedbanks having more than Rs. 2000 crores in amount of loan owed by willful defaulters as on 31.12.2015 viz. Punjab National Bank, Central Bank of India, UCO Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Canara Bank, Union Bank of India, Andhra Bank, Bank of India and Corporation Bank.

The number of total willful defaulters of Punjab National Bank was 904 as on 31.12.2015. The total amount of loan owed by willful defaulters was Rs. 10869.72 crores as on 31.12.2015. The average amount of loan per willful defaulter was Rs. 12.02 crores as on 31.12.2015.

The number of total willful defaulters of Central Bank of India was 730 as on 31.12.2015. The total amount of loan owed by willful defaulters was Rs. 4408.52 crores as on 31.12.2015. The average amount of loan per willful defaulter was Rs. 6.04 crores as on 31.12.2015. The number of total willful defaulters of UCO Bank was 628 as on 31.12.2015. The total amount of loan owed by willful defaulters was Rs. 4251.04 crores as on 31.12.2015. The average amount of loan per willful defaulter was Rs. 6.77 crores as on 31.12.2015.

The number of total willful defaulters of Oriental Bank of Commerce was 373 as on 31.12.2015. The total amount of loan owed by willful defaulters was Rs. 3834.35 crores as on 31.12.2015. The average amount of loan per willful defaulter was Rs. 10.28 crores as on 31.12.2015. The number of total willful defaulters of Canara Bank was 615 as on 31.12.2015. The total amount of loan owed by willful defaulters was Rs. 3213 crores as on 31.12.2015. The average amount of loan per willful defaulter was Rs. 5.22 crores as on 31.12.2015.

The number of total willful defaulters of Union Bank of India was 657 as on 31.12.2015. The total amount of loan owed by willful defaulters was Rs. 3066.42 crores as on 31.12.2015. The average amount of loan per willful defaulter was Rs. 4.67 crores as on 31.12.2015. The number of total willful defaulters of Andhra Bank was 376 as on 31.12.2015. The total amount of loan owed by willful defaulters was Rs. 2957.96 crores as on 31.12.2015. The average amount of loan per willful defaulter was Rs. 7.87 crores as on 31.12.2015.

The number of total willful defaulters of Bank of India was 183 as on 31.12.2015. The total amount of loan owed by willful defaulters was Rs. 2708.97 crores as on 31.12.2015. The average amount of loan per willful defaulter was Rs. 14.8 crores as on 31.12.2015. The number of total willful defaulters of Corporation Bank was 123 as on 31.12.2015. The total amount of loan owed by willful defaulters was Rs. 2256.16 crores as on 31.12.2015. The average amount of loan per willful defaulter was Rs. 18.34 crores as on 31.12.2015.
