Student Classroom Ratio at Higher Secondary Level as on April 2016

The student classroom ratio at higher secondary level in India was 49 as on April 2016. There were 15 States/UTs which had student classroom ratio at higher secondary level of less than 40 viz. Himachal Pradesh, Lakshadweep, Sikkim, Haryana, Daman & Diu, Puducherry, A & N Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Goa and Punjab as on April 2016.

The student classroom ratio at higher secondary level in Himachal Pradesh was 27 as on April 2016. The ratio of student classroom ratio at higher secondary level in Himachal Pradesh was lower by 22 points as compared to student classroom ratio at higher secondary level at All India level. Thus, Himachal Pradesh had the best student classroom ratio at higher secondary level in India.

The student classroom ratio at higher secondary level in Lakshadweep was 30 as on April 2016. The ratio of student classroom ratio at higher secondary level in Lakshadweep was lower by 19 points as compared to student classroom ratio at higher secondary level at All India level. The student classroom ratio at higher secondary level in Sikkim was 32 as on April 2016. The ratio of student classroom ratio at higher secondary level in Sikkim was lower by 17 points as compared to student classroom ratio at higher secondary level at All India level. The student classroom ratio at higher secondary level in Haryana was 34 as on April 2016. The ratio of student classroom ratio at higher secondary level in Haryana was lower by 15 points as compared to student classroom ratio at higher secondary level at All India level.

The student classroom ratio at higher secondary level in Daman & Diu was 35 as on April 2016. The ratio of student classroom ratio at higher secondary level in Daman & Diu was lower by 14 points as compared to student classroom ratio at higher secondary level at All India level. The student classroom ratio at higher secondary level in Puducherry was 35 as on April 2016. The ratio of student classroom ratio at higher secondary level in Puducherry was lower by 14 points as compared to student classroom ratio at higher secondary level at All India level.

The student classroom ratio at higher secondary level in A & N Islands was 36 as on April 2016 (lower by 13 points as compared to All India). The student classroom ratio at higher secondary level in Andhra Pradesh was 36 as on April 2016 (lower by 13 points as compared to All India). The student classroom ratio at higher secondary level in Tamil Nadu was 36 as on April 2016 (lower by 13 points as compared to All India). The student classroom ratio at higher secondary level in Telangana was 36 as on April 2016 (lower by 13 points as compared to All India).

The student classroom ratio at higher secondary level in Karnataka was 37 as on April 2016 (lower by 12 points as compared to All India). The student classroom ratio at higher secondary level in Chhattisgarh was 38 as on April 2016 (lower by 11 points as compared to All India). The student classroom ratio at higher secondary level in Rajasthan was 38 as on April 2016 (lower by 11 points as compared to All India). The student classroom ratio at higher secondary level in Goa was 39 as on April 2016 (lower by 10 points as compared to All India). The student classroom ratio at higher secondary level in Punjab was 39 as on April 2016 (lower by 10 points as compared to All India).
